Children & Nursery
Our vision at Holland Park is “Strengthening families…Sharing Christ…Together.” The Children's Ministry wants to partner with you, the parents, to help your child discover and embrace a growing relationship with Jesus. There are three components to our Children’s Ministry:
The purpose of Blessed Beginnings is to provide a safe, loving, and nurturing environment for babies and toddlers to learn about God. We provide nursery care on Sunday mornings during class time and the worship. We also provide nursery care during Wednesday night classes.
3 year olds—4th grade
The KidsZone is where preschool and elementary aged children journey through the Bible as they learn to love and serve others in the name of Jesus. We have classes for each grade level on Sunday mornings. K3-1st grade children join their family in the auditorium for congregational worship before they are dismissed to Children’s Worship after the announcements. On Wednesday nights we start off together and then rotate to various stations (crafts, food, games, science, drama, and Bible memory).
5th and 6th grade
We have a special place just for 5th and 6th graders as they make the transition into the youth ministry. Our desire is for these pre-teens to develop great friendships and a strong Biblical foundation. Zone 56 meets during class time on Sundays and Wednesdays. We will also have various get-togethers during the year—look out for more information!
We have a Children’s Offering time during the worship service. Throughout the year we will raise money for different causes in our church, community, and world. This is a great way for the children of our church to learn about giving.
We always need more volunteers to help on Sunday mornings in the nursery, Sunday School classes, and Children’s Worship, as well as on Wednesday nights and with Special events throughout the year.
