The FORGE Men’s Ministry has 3 objectives in helping this and the next generation walk the Best Path:
Ministry, Mentoring, and Movement.
Ministering to those in need both physically and spiritually by providing classes and gatherings to develop relationships that foster trust and support.
Movement is the most important element. We want to develop men who are equipped to avoid passivity and lead their families with confidence and strength.
Mentoring that provides men a way to connect with other men in similar life stages and those who have walked the path ahead of them to allow for growth and spiritual formation to lead their families in a way that honors God.
We feel it is of paramount importance that men understand the life God has called us to and how to live the Best Life with grace and humility.
Guys, please make plans to attend our annual spring retreat. This year we will be at Pleasant Ridge Retreat Center in Marietta, SC. The theme is “Follow” – “In a world where there is a premium placed on leadership in the workplace, home and most areas of our lives, how do we shift to a role to follow Christ. There are thousands of books written on leadership these days and often following could be misinterpreted as weakness. Our role is to lead our families, so how do we learn to follow and teach others to follow Christ and his teaching?” Please register by signing up at the Welcome Center. The cost is $75 and this includes housing and 3 meals. There is also a box at the Center to drop off your fee. Please pick up important info sheets as well. Scholarships are available. And we need all men to sign up by February 16th. Philip Wyatt is your contact.
Meets every Thursday morning at The Epicurean, 1455 Woodruff Road Greenville, SC 29607, 6:30 a.m.
This group is designed to bring men together in a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere. It is open to all men in our church family… Bring a friend with you!
